So what makes this blog special? (Me, DUH, just kidding!) I mean it’s 2019, EVERYONE has a blog. Why should you read mine?
Well, I have a collection of wild stories to tell that will probably make you laugh, cry or maybe even sick to your stomach. For example, 6 months ago I was bit by a dog in Colombia and found out 4 days later that what I thought was the rabies vaccine was in fact, not the rabies vaccine. I’ll go into full detail about those fun few days in a later post so if you want to see how it all ends, stay tuned!
What topics can you expect to be seeing from me:
- Travel journaling and bucket lists.
- What turning 30 and not having your life together looks and feels like.
- Dealing with loss, grief and mourning and utilizing the low moments to push towards better days.
- Things that I enjoy besides traveling such as photography, wildlife/nature and exercising.
- Current playlists and books that I’m reading.
Who am I writing for? I’m mainly writing for myself because I find it to be therapeutic, but in all reality this blog isn’t intended for one specific audience. You can be an 83 year old male and probably get a kick or two out of some of the stories that I share. I want to share my thoughts, motivations and personal low moments with the world, because I know that I’m not the only one who goes through some of the things that I have, am and probably will in the future.
If you totally hate this blog then that’s cool. I’m not everyone’s cup of tequila and the fact that none of us think exactly alike is what makes the world go around. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and negative feedback is always a way to improve so feel free to make your opinion known by commenting. *Side note: Any racist, homophobic, bigotry fueled comments will be deleted.
Now, I leave the rest up to you. Feel free to browse around my blog and see if you find anything that sparks your interest OR it may just make for great reading while you are on the porcelain throne. Either way, I hope that you enjoy and at least cracked a smile after reading that last sentence.
MEET JANEL
My name is Janel and I was born and raised in the heart of Bourbon, U.S.A. aka Louisville, KY. I inherited the travel bug from both of my parents and I’m proud to say that I’ve been to over 30 countries as of today.
I decided to start a blog to not only recall my crazy adventures and hard to believe moments, but to also inspire others to search for what lights their soul on fire. Another goal of this blog is to encourage people who are dealing with a hard time. We are all survivors in our own ways and it just takes courage and will power to keep pushing on. Sometimes reading what others have gone through or going through helps bring a sense of comfort and I hope that I can be that at times.
